About the School
Beginnings Preschool is located at 60 NW Oregon Ave, inside the Foundry Church, in downtown Bend, Oregon. Here at Beginnings Preschool, your child will learn how to read and write; count; add and subtract; do arts and crafts; perform science experiments; learn to play socially with other students; perform in class plays; learn about outerspace; and learn to use their imaginations.
As a Christian preschool, we instill values of kindness, compassion, and respect. We believe our unique Storyline curriculum, combined with our focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics, (STEM), along with literacy and arts, provides a strong foundation for kindergarten success. Most children who graduate from Beginnings Preschool find themselves well ahead of the average kindergarten student.
About the Teachers
Ms Sally
Ms Sally is both Head Teacher and Director. She brings over 30 years of teaching children both in the United States and in Southeast Asia. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA and Masters in Education and is a Master trainer for the Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children (ORAEYC).
Ms Teri
Ms Teri has more than 20 years of teaching experience. She joined Beginnings Preschool with an extensive background as the Director of children and family programs for resorts in Sunriver, Oregon and Ojai, California. Her education from the University of Idaho with a BS degree in Recreation & Leadership allows her to incorporate a play based approach to teaching. Both of her children are graduates of Beginnings Preschool.
